BACnet, Modbus and Other Protocols
In cases where your devices use standard protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, or other industrial communication standards, you can still connect them to the Diologi chatbot by using MQTT gateways. These gateways act as protocol translators, converting data from BMS protocols into MQTT messages that can be sent securely to the chatbot.
Common MQTT Gateways
Some commonly used gateways for this integration include:
- Weintek cMT Gateway – supports Modbus, BACnet/IP, and other protocols
- Milesight UG65 Gateway – suitable for LoRaWAN-based sensors and devices + Modbus and BACnet support
- Any MQTT-capable industrial IoT gateway that can support TLS certificates
tip
To configure the MQTT connection to Diologi, refer to the General MQTT section where you will find detailed instructions for certificate setup, broker address, and topic structure.
With this setup, you can integrate legacy or modern BMS field devices.
